Detour
Directed by William Dickerson
Detour is a nerve-wracking thriller that conveys the claustrophobic horror of being buried alive.
Jackson Alder (Neil Hopkins, Lost) is a smooth talking ad-man blindsided by Mother Nature. While driving home he is engulfed in a powerful mudslide, his car turned into an expensive steel tomb. Knocked unconscious, Jackson awakens to a nightmare, with only the memories of his girlfriend (Brea Grant, Dexter) to keep him company. As the windows crack under an avalanche of mud, his time and oxygen are running out. Jackson must battle starvation and hysteria in order to discover the light at the end of this dark tunnel.
Pushing himself beyond his physical and mental boundaries, he must ask himself the ultimate question: How much would you sacrifice in order to survive?
