Re-Creation
Directed by Jim Sheridan, David Merriman
Re-Creation is a riveting depiction of a murder trial that never took place. Twelve members of a fictional jury (including Vicky Krieps, Phantom Thread) must decide whether British journalist Ian Bailey (Colm Meaney, Law Abiding Citizen) is guilty of the murder of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier in 1996. Based on shocking real events, the film dramatically depicts jury deliberations that invite the audience to think about what shapes our sense of guilt and innocence. Co-Directed by Academy Award® nominee Jim Sheridan (In the Name of the Father, My Left Foot) and inspired by 12 Angry Men, Re-Creation is a heady and haunting courtroom thriller that invites the viewer to draw their own conclusions.
