A true artist on every end of the camera, Shirley Clarke combined her innate curiosity and dancer's aesthetic with her drive to battle injustice to make films that dazzle, challenge, and beguile the audience. THE MAGIC BOX is the culmination of Milestone Films’ “Project Shirley,” an eight-year effort to restore and renew the films of this extraordinary woman's career. This three-disc collection includes Clarke’s Academy Award®-winning documentary Robert Frost: A Lover’s Quarrel with the World, as well as her experimental shorts, “lost” films, unfinished projects and more.
